Wow, has it been 6 years already? Time sure does fly!
Six years ago, I hit “publish” on my very first recipe post, not knowing that this little corner of the internet would turn into such a huge and joyful part of our lives. What started as a passion project has grown into a beautiful community of food lovers from all over the world.
Over the years, we’ve cooked our way through cozy family favorites, vibrant global flavors, and plenty of fun kitchen experiments… more than 750 total recipes!
But this past year we tried something new. Something very exciting, and a little bit scary: Our very own YouTube Channel!

There have been challenges, screwups, and a huge learning curve. But it’s been an absolute blast. We’ve especially had fun with the end segment of each recipe video: taste testing with our son, Noah. He has really taken to his new role as a Youtuber.
We also moved and have a new kitchen, which has been great for filming our recipe videos.

Beyond that, it’s been another great year of cooking up new recipes for you. Some of the highlights have been Prawn Moilee, Jason’s favorite Indian dish, Rabo de Toro, which we discovered on our trip to Spain a couple of years back, and Ground Beef Birria, our own weeknight hack for the trendiest flavor our of Mexico.
Even with all of the cooking, we still managed to find time for a couple trips to Maine and Switzerland.

As we celebrate this special day, I want to extend my deepest thanks to you, our readers. I’m endlessly grateful for every one of you who has read, cooked, commented, or simply stopped by to peek at what’s simmering on the stove. You’ve made this journey so much richer and so much fun.
