Hey everyone!! It’s time to hit the pause button for a moment and send out a big, heartfelt Happy Birthday to someone truly special in our lives… GypsyPlate!! 🎉
Can you believe it’s already been 5 years? It feels like just yesterday we were getting started, and here we are now. This milestone really snuck up on us this year. Let’s take a moment to celebrate all the delicious memories we’ve created together! 🥳
2024 has definitely been a rollercoaster of a year. With AI making waves and Google updates hitting us almost every month, the blogging world has faced its fair share of challenges. But through it all, we never stopped whipping up one delicious dish after another for you all. We’re very grateful to be finding our way through this new era of constant change, and even more thankful that you, our loyal readers, are with us every step of the way. Because without you, there would be no GypsyPlate.
But we’re thrilled to see GypsyPlate growing, slowly but surely, over the years. We’ve cooked up around 650 recipes for you, and our subscriber base is growing by the hundreds every single day.
On a personal front, there have been some big changes too… In April, we made the move from South Hutchinson to North Hutchinson here in Fort Pierce. GypsyPlate now has a brand new kitchen and, for the first time ever, an actual office! 😊
It’s an absolute pleasure to cook in a big, bright kitchen and finally enjoy some quiet office time without distractions from Noah.
This year, we decided to focus on domestic travel so we could enjoy our new home a bit more. We explored the beautiful NC mountains, had a magical time at Disney’s Magic Kingdom, took Noah to Lego Land, and visited the gorgeous Rainbow Springs right here in Florida.
Having an online blogging business gives us the flexibility to do so much with Noah, and he definitely kept us busy this summer! From trying bodyboarding for the first time, to skating, rock climbing, biking, and bowling… It’s been quite the adventure keeping up with a 5-year-old. Can you believe he’s almost as old as GypsyPlate!! Now that he’s starting school, we’re crossing our fingers for a slower pace and we’ll have more time to whip up some delicious recipes for you!
So, what’s new this year? Well, we’ve got some major announcements coming up soon about exciting new GypsyPlate ventures. Stay tuned… we’re almost there!
So once again, Happy 5th Birthday, GypsyPlate!! Thank you for being such a big part of our lives, and a huge thanks to all our readers for making our dream come true.

Hi, I live in Brisbane, Australia. I have no idea where Hutchinson is. Or for that matter Fort Pierce! As you now have a global following please help us out with locations.
I do like most of your recipes, but sometimes ingredients get confused with different terms and weights, for metric and imperial.
Hi Geoff. I love Australia, and visited many times in my old tour leader days. We have been looking to change our recipe card plugin, and I believe some of them do have metric/imperial conversions. Each recipe would have to manually migrated, so that project could take a while, but it could be coming in the future.
Happy 5th Birthday!! And thank you for the wonderful recipes!
You’re welcome, and thank you for following along!
Cheers to five years, Alpana! We are so grateful for the most delicious recipes you bring into our homes! Keep the flavor bombs coming, and congratulations!!
Thank you, Hilary!
