30 BEST Pie Recipes
This tasty collection of easy Pie Recipes is perfect for all your get togethers and holiday celebrations. To help get you started, here is a basic pie crust recipe:
Ingredients
- 2.5 cups all purpose flour
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup cold butter, cubed
- 1/2 ice water
Instructions
- Add flour, sugar and salt to a large bowl and mix well.
- Add butter and, using a pastry cutter or fork, mix into the flour until you have coarse chunks.
- Slowly mix in the water, about a tablespoon at a time, until the dough holds together. You may not need all of the water.
- Divide the dough in half and form two flat disks. Wrap them in cling wrap and refrigerate at least one hour.
- When ready to use, place a disk on a floured surface and roll into a 12 inch disk with a rolling pin.
- Transfer to pie pan and fill with your favorite filling.
