If you want to take your stir fry game to the next level, you’ve gotta start with a great sauce. And let me tell you, Yakisoba Sauce is one of the best.
We love our basic Stir Fry Sauce, and Hunan Sauce is our go-to when we want something spicy. But this Japanese version is very unique.
Ingredients Needed
- Soy Sauce – Pretty much a staple in all stir fry sauces.
- Oyster Sauce – Another Asian staple.
- Worcestershire Sauce – Surprise! Yes, Worcestershire sauce in stir fry. That’s what makes it so unique.
- Mirin – This is a Japanese rice wine. If you don’t have it, that’s okay, but it does go very well here.
- Ketchup – I like a little in there for some tang.
- Sugar – Just a little to balance everything out.
Yakisoba Sauce Recipe
I just measure all the ingredients and whisk them together in a bowl. Easy, huh?
How to Use It
This sauce is most commonly used with the Japanese stir fry, Yakisoba. It typically features wheat based noodles, some type of meat, and a variety of veggies.
I’ve also tried it in other stir fry dishes and it works great. That addition of Worcestershire sauce gives it a really nice flavor.
Stay tuned, our next recipe coming up is our Chicken Yakisoba. It’s really good, I think you’re going to like it.
