    Ingredients Needed

    • Chicken – I am using chicken thighs, as I love dark meat. Chicken breast works great in this recipe too. Cut the chicken into bite size pieces.
    • Cornstarch
    • For the sauce – honey, garlic, chicken stock, lemon juice, sriracha
    • Flavor enhancers – red chili flakes, salt, pepper
    • Olive oil and butter

    Honey Garlic Chicken Recipe

This recipe comes together super fast, so I keep all the ingredients ready to go. First, I coat the chicken pieces with cornstarch, salt, and pepper, making sure each piece is evenly covered.

Then, I heat some oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt a bit of butter into the oil, and add the chicken cubes. I cook them on all sides until they’re golden brown, which takes about 6-8 minutes. If needed, I work in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan and keep the chicken from steaming instead of browning.

Once the chicken is perfectly cooked, I pour in the sauce, stirring to coat each piece well. I let it simmer for a couple of minutes so all the flavors meld together and the sauce thickens, sticking nicely to the chicken bites.

To finish, I add a pinch of red chili flakes for a little heat and stir in some fresh parsley as garnish. Then, I serve it immediately over a bowl of rice, noodles, or zoodles, depending on what I’m in the mood for!

    Variations

    • For a more Asian-inspired flavor in the chicken bites, I like to add a splash of soy sauce or oyster sauce to the mix.
    • This recipe also works great with other proteins like pork, beef, or shrimp for a delicious twist.
    • For extra veggie power, I add my favorite stir-fry vegetables—bell peppers, onion, carrots, broccoli, or snow peas all work beautifully.
