Easter Side Dishes
1. Sweet Potato Casserole with Pecan Streusel
I absolutely love to pair this sweet potato casserole with my ham every single time. This is my number 1 side dish if ham is cooking in our kitchen.
Creamy sweet potatoes are already good, but adding crunchy, buttery, sweet, and salty pecans helps to diversify the flavors.
2. Green Beans Almondine
Green Beans Almondine!! Doesn’t it sound fancy?
Vibrant French style green beans tossed with brown butter, toasty almonds (that’s where almondine comes from), shallots, garlic and a squeeze of lemon to brighten it in the end.
3. Creamed Corn
After you try this easy Creamed Corn recipe, you will never, ever go back to canned. Made with fresh corn (though you can use frozen), it’s so creamy and full of flavor.
This side dish is addictively good.
4. Southern Squash Casserole
This classic yellow Squash Casserole is a versatile side dish that can go with any Easter centerpiece.
Mildly flavored sweet squash folded into a creamy, cheesy sauce and topped with buttery cracker topping… YUM!
5. Lazy Sweet Potato Mash
This recipe is so easy to make, we call it lazy. Sometimes, it’s okay to be lazy, and if you need all the time you can get, then this one’s for you.
The sweet potato is simply cooked in the microwave and mashed up, to make a dish that’s easy and delicious.

This gorgeous Butternut Squash Blossom will be the new star on your holiday spread or at your next get together.
Not only will it be the prettiest dish on the table, the flavors are absolutely amazing (psst, it has bacon!).
7. Creamed Peas with Pearl Onions
This is a simple, super easy, speedy side dish… A classic from your grandma’s generation.
Sweet peas slathered in creamy white sauce, sprinkled with pearl onions. This is a great side for ham.
8. Baked Mac and Cheese
You won’t be able to get enough of this Baked Mac and Cheese. It’s the perfect side dish for holidays, or any meal for that matter. The panko topping really takes it over the top!
9. Chili Maple Glazed Sweet Potatoes with Pecans
These chili maple glazed sweet potatoes with pecans have a nice kick due to being topped with a marvelous maple-chili glaze.
The maple syrup adds sweetness, and the chili adds spiciness to make for a great sweet and spicy combo.
10. Roasted Brown Butter Honey Garlic Carrots
These perfectly roasted carrots are very easy to make, and are caramelized to perfection. Serve this delicious side dish with any of your favorite protein mains.

Sufferin’ succotash! This classic American side dish goes back centuries.
The main ingredients are corn kernels and lima beans, but regional variations include other vegetables and meats such as bacon or corned beef.

How about this classic wedge salad. Fresh, crispy and delicious. This classic goes great alongside ham.
15. Corn Casserole
This easy 5 ingredient Corn Casserole is a great southern style side dish, and takes next to no effort. Seriously, just mix up the ingredients, then stick it in the oven.
16. Potatoes au Gratin (Dauphinoise)
THIS is the crème de la crème of all potato recipes!!
Also known as Dauphinoise Potatoes, this French classic is made with layers upon layers of finely sliced potatoes, cream, butter and cheese with a hint of fresh thyme.
